TWC Chairman doesn't care about Texans needing extended unemployment benefits
Governor Rick Perry should fire his appointed chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission for making excuses about the failure of TWC to be prepared for 13 weeks of extended benefits. His comment reported in Dallas Morning News 7/17/09 that people have to be willing to take a job that is below what they normally would be willing to do is atrocious and disgusting. US Dept of Labor says five candidates for every job. It's not a question of taking a job, but finding any job. I have asked the Governor, TX Rep. Brian McCall, and Senator Florence Shapiro to let Mr. Pauken know that this attitude is not appreciated among the unemployed. Thank you.
