Cnet.com had an interesting video interview with the CEO of Pageflakes.com. Pageflakes is offering a community -based personalized web page. Flake is a piece of a web-page, calendar, weather, news, sports, photos, etc. put into your page.
Pageflakes also offers web widgets to copy/paste right into your pageflakes page, or blog/website. You don't have to, but I did a simple registration with my email address to setup my own page. This feature is much like my personalized Google home page with RSS feed of today's TV programs that I watch, my email in-box and my personal calendar, and headline news items.
Another feature that appeals to me is the opportunity to make my pages on pageflake public. A future use could be with public groups, associations, neighborhood activities, hobby groups, etc.
I will be created my pageflake and making it public shortly.
