Are you a Follow Failure?

Recently there was a twitter 'tweet' post that shut down the twitter servers due to all the twitter followers checking up on and forwarding the tweet to others.  That can happen when you have lots and lots of twitter followers.  But what about the 'follow failure', are you one of them?  Here's the opening paragraph of a witty, but sensible plan not fail.
