Did you know that your resume 'sucks'?

Especially the headline, those first few lines, which doesn't grab the reader's attention by the eyeballs and brain stem.

Brian Clark at Copyblogger wrote several headline grabbing attention articles about what is and how to write copy that makes a looker a reader. He states the 80/20 Rule of Headlines which means; "

On average, 8 out of 10 people will read headline copy, but only 2 out of 10 will read the rest. This is the secret to the power of the headline, and why it so highly determines the effectiveness of the entire piece.

The better the headline, the better your odds of beating the averages and getting what you’ve written read by a larger percentage of people."

OK, your resume headline and I bet your elevator speech sucks. Those two of 10 readers quit just past the headline as the headline promise does not deliver right away. And the audience of your elevator speech just hears 'blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, [got it, blah, blah]. There's no zing in your message.

What now?

Take the time to read the rest of Mr. Clark's commentary here and create headlines that are 4-U:
