How to use GMail Part 2A of 3 Internet TV Show 5/7/10

Yes, there is a lot to say about using GMail to get a job.  In between the first two shows, a new 3d party app was released from http://rapportive.com/ - making email a better place.  This add-on to your Firefox browser provides social media identity information about the sender.  And it replaces the banner ads that appear next to receive email.  A much better use of the desktop real estate in my view.  Watch in the show how looks.

Also included is a clip from the movie 'How to Succeed in Business without really trying'.  The clip helped me to remember to believe in me.  To imagine my future job today to achieve it tomorrow.  Doesn't have anything to do with GMail, but something to be reminded of during job search and/or career success efforts.

[note: lost Internet connection so there is a Part 2A and Part 2B]

This program theme about GMail is being held over for another week for Part 3 of maybe Part 3 or 4.  It's just that more apps show up on the web every week for GMail.

Still to cover are:

  • Exporting/Import email contact lists [LinkedIn to GMail]
  • Adding photos/links to email with GMail
  • Creating Google groups
  • Synopsis of book Tyranny of Email
  • Using https://etacts.com to create a contact management database from GMail contacts
  • Using http://tweetymail.com/ to use email as all-in-one solution to GMail
So little time, each so much to cover.  Looking ahead I am going to try to get into the 3D-virtual world of Second Life.  All very Internet connection bandwidth dependent.  Will see what happens.
