• Seek specialist instead of generalist recruiters
• recruiters are not career counselors
• What to Know When They Call

• ask when they started the search
• who is the client
• what is the position description for the ideal candidate

Niche Networking

• Problems

• No Network to Work
• Call reluctance

Solutions

• Ask former boss who laid you off, guilt is the gift which keeps on giving
• Ask your preferential contacts
• Four C's and Five F's (when you attend in person you learn what they are to help)
