| Greetings, So many books, so little time... Few books have had the impact of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni. This book, like most of his other books, weaves a "fable," and then Mr. Lencioni draws business lessons from his carefully constructed fable. His newest book, The Advantage: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else In Business is his first ever "non-fable" book. He makes the case that organizational health is critical -- it trumps everything else in business, as his sub-title says. Karl Krayer will present this synopsis. I will present my synopsis of The Coming Jobs War by Jim Clifton, the CEO of the Gallup Organization. This book deals with the most pressing economic issue of our time -- the disappearance of, and the need for, good jobs. As always, we have great food, wonderful connections, and lively networking. It really is a useful and valuable use of your time on an early Friday morning. (And, we really do finish by about 5 minutes after 8:00 every single month. You can count on us). Come join us on October 5. You'll be glad you did. Randy Mayeux (mobile -- 214-577-8025) ps - If you are not aware, the Park City Club has a spectacular view of the city, and the best breakfast! you can find -- with a made-to-order omelet bar, and a full and scrumptious buffet. Bring your appetite. | | Congratulations to our September Winners!
