We Keep Learning --
Because there is always the
Next New Thing to Learn

Greetings,

Each month, we all have our "reading towers of guilt."  Books we wish we had time to read.  Books we never quite get to...

So, at the First Friday Book Synopsis, we read some of those books and share what we've learned.  We might provide enough of the book for you to decide, "that's enough -- now, let me put this insight into practice."  Or, we might help you decide to delve into one of the books we presented with a deeper dive.  Either way, we help you as you seek to keep learning.

This month, our two books are both valuable.

Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of
Loyalty 3.0: How to Revolutionize Customer and Employee Engagement with Big Data and Gamification by Rajat Paharia.
I will present my synopsis of Contagious: Why Things Catch On by Jonah Berger.  Both of these will add to your growing body of business knowledge.  (I personally can't wait to learn more about big data from Karl's presentation...).

Come join us.  Learn with us.  I think you will find it to be a valuable use of an early Friday morning.

TAKE TIME TO READ - SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL

Masons across Texas are discovering the many rewards of reading to youngsters. As part of the Take Time To Read program, Texas Masons are team up with their local libraries and schools to read to children, collect books through book drives, and reap the rewards of glowing eyes, smiling faces and eager listeners.  Reading experts agree that reading aloud to   children may be one of the most important things that adults can do to prepare kids for success in school.  They enrich their vocabulary, they learn new information, and expand the experiences of their world.  Being read to can create a love for books and generate a desire to read.
