Greetings,

After the success of The Tipping Point, Blink, and Outliers, people have waited for a new Malcolm Gladwell book.  It has arrived!  David and Goliath:  Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants.

I uploaded the book on my Kindle App on October 1, the morning it was published.  And pretty much devoured it.  Like his other books, this book is a great conversation starter.  There are favorable reviews; critical reviews; and outright unfavorable reviews.  But, as always, I will try to let the book speak for itself.  (Hint:  I'm more of a fan than some of the critical reviewers seem to be).  And this much is sure; Malcolm Gladwell is the best storyteller-in-nonfiction-print that I have ever read.

Karl will present his synopsis of The Truth About Leadership:  The No-Fads Heart-Of-The-Matter Facts You Need To Know by Kouzes and Posner.  These two have added so much to our understanding of leadership.  (I still think that their Encouraging the Heart is a must read for every leader!)

And, this month, we will have a bonus program from 8:30-9:30 with Hugh Aynesworth, on his book November 22, 1963:  Witness to History.  This will be worth your time as we reflect back during the 50th anniversary time of this tragic event.  (You can register on-line, along with your regular registration -- or, pay at the door).

Come join us.  Learn with us.  I think you will find it to be a valuable use of an early Friday morning.
